How your family can deliver joy to local seniors this summer

As school winds down, are you looking for fun and meaningful activities for you and your children this summer? If you’d like to brighten a senior’s day, there’s no better place to start than Meals on Wheels.

We aim to give you all the resources you need to make volunteering with Meals on Wheels a great experience for your family. Getting started is easy and there are numerous ways to get involved.

Deliver. Bring nutritious meals to your neighbors. Deliveries only take an hour during lunchtime, it’s easy to do with your children and you’re sure to bring a smile to the recipients’ faces. If you’re interested in delivering, sign up online or call 612-623-3363!

Create. Make placemats, lunch bags or birthday cards for meal recipients to help brighten a meal recipient’s day! Once you’re ready to deliver or send the finished product, please contact us at 612-623-3363 and we will point you to the Meals on Wheels delivery location nearest to you! Find more information and tips on creating projects on our family volunteer project page.
