Meals on Wheels is partnering with Gifts for Seniors this holiday season

The holidays are a time to celebrate the year, enjoy some festive music, and spend time with loved ones. However, for thousands of isolated seniors in Minnesota, the holidays can be an extremely lonely time.

Meals on Wheels recipients will be getting a little extra love this holiday season. In partnership with Gifts for Seniors, our clients with not only receive a hot, nutritious meal and personal contact from a dedicated volunteer, but a personalized gift and some holiday cheer.

We are very excited to be working with Gifts for Seniors this holiday season. With a long history of work in our communities both Meals on Wheels and Gifts for Seniors are working toward similar goals. Metro Meals on Wheels with our program partners, lead the effort to make sure people in our community receive the nutritious meals and the human connection they need to help them live independently. Gifts for Seniors provides gifts and life-affirming personal contact to thousands of isolated seniors throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and surrounding communities through the engagement and support of volunteers and community partners.

Gifts for Seniors has been spreading holiday cheer to isolated seniors throughout the Twin Cities for almost 20 years. They have provided gifts and personal contact to more than 30,000 isolated seniors in the metro area since its establishment in 1994.
