Celebración del Mes de la Herencia Hispana

Mes de la Herencia Hispana is celebrated every fall from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15. We’re proud to join Comunidades Latinas Unidas en Servicio (CLUES) Saturday, Sept. 19, at Fiesta Latina to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month.

Fiesta Latina is a free, family-friendly community festival celebrating Latino heritage through arts, health and wellness, food, and entertainment. There are more than 370,000 Minnesotans who identify as Hispanic or Latino. You can learn more about the cultural heritage and backgrounds of our state’s third-largest demographic group from data compiled by Minnesota Compass. As the Twin Cities 65+ population becomes more diverse, we strive to offer menus that reflect the tastes of everyone we serve.

Through our kitchen partnership with Open Arms of Minnesota and a catering partnership with Cafe Racer Kitchen, meal recipients can choose meals that feature a variety of traditional Latin American flavors. 

Our other cultural meal options include:

• Traditional Hmong
• Southeast Asian Vegetarian in partnership with SEWA-AIFW.
• Halal Soul Food in partnership with Al-Maa'uun
• Traditional East African
• Kosher meals in partnership with Jewish Family and Children’s Services of Minnesota

Recipients can choose from these options are when signing up for meal deliveries. Our website is available in English, Hmong, Somali and Spanish. We also also have access to interpretation services for 200+ languages. Call 612-623-3363 to learn more.
