Meals on Heels Restaurant Preview Part 2
We recently announced six restaurants that will be joining us at Meals on Heels, and we are here again to announce another four! We are so excited that each of these eateries will be bringing their savory food to this event, but also that they are supporting Meals on Wheels and delivery of warm, nutritious meals to seniors and people living with disabilities in the Twin Cities.
Gandhi Mahal is a Bangladeshi/Indian restaurant that works to provide a peaceful experience through both the food they serve and the environment they occupy. Diners are treated to live music during the evenings Friday through Sunday. We love that they incorporate policies of environmental responsibility and sustainability, and ethical economics, and can’t wait to sample their food at Meals on Heels this year!
Meals on Wheels Kitchen of Opportunities
This past year Meals on Wheels took the exciting step of opening our own kitchen, The Kitchen of Opportunities, the first kitchen dedicated strictly to serving local Meals on Wheels programs. This new kitchen brings the food preparation in-house, reducing food costs while providing healthy and customizable menu options. Meals on Wheels has partnered with Open Arms of Minnesota chefs, and our Meals on Wheels clients have given great feedback about the new food they are receiving. We couldn’t be happier to announce that the Kitchen of Opportunities will be bringing some of their dishes to Meals on Heels so attendees can sample the food we’re proud to offer at Meals on Wheels.
Pizza Lucé has been a staple menu presenter at Meals on Heels over the years, and every year we are just as thrilled to have them and their to-die-for pizza at our event. With their variety of unique pizzas, we are always giddy with anticipation as to what kind of pizza will be served up at Meals on Heels! If you can’t wait until mid-August to get yourself some Pizza Lucé, stop by one of their eight locations in Minnesota.
The Mystic Steakhouse, located in Mystic Lake Casino, is one of the top steakhouses in the Twin Cities. If you’re looking for a great night out, heading to Mystic Lake Casino Hotel is the perfect option. Hit up the casino, enjoy entertainment, and try out the savory steak and seafood that the Mystic Steakhouse has to offer. We can’t wait to try some for ourselves at Meals on Heels!
If you’re looking for top-notch Vietnamese street food, look no further! Bep Eatery has two locations, one in the Fifth Street Tower, and the other at Lasalle Plaza. You can avoid the long lines that usually come with a visit to Bep, because they will be one of our restaurants at Meals on Heels this year! Our mouths are watering just thinking about it.
