Metro Meals on Wheels

Development Director

The Development Director will contribute to the organization’s mission by managing and executing the organization’s individual and major giving program. The desired candidate will possess a deep knowledge of fundraising with the capacity to engage new donors and cultivate major gifts.

Board Member

Metro Meals on Wheels is currently seeking applicants for three open seats on its board of directors. We are especially in need of board members with skills in the fields of development and human resources.

Special Events Intern

The Events Intern will work directly with the Events Manager and with the Development Team in planning, supporting Meals on Wheels largest fundraising event, Meals on Heels. Kitchen of Opportunities

Metro Meals on Wheels partners with Open Arms of Minnesota for food production at the Kitchen of Opportunities.

Food Services Director

This is a position in a large production kitchen, preparing ready-to-eat meals for Metro Meals on Wheels programs. The Food Services Director manages a team of cooks and kitchen assistants in quality food production and packaging.

Chef

This is a position in a large production kitchen, preparing ready-to-eat meals for Metro Meals on Wheels programs. The Chef is responsible for food preparation, kitchen safety and sanitation, and overall kitchen cleanliness and organization.  

Kitchen Assistant

This is a position in a large production kitchen preparing and packaging ready-to-eat meals for Metro Meals on Wheels programs. Working as part of a team, the Kitchen Assistant is responsible for general kitchen cleanliness and including but not limited to cleaning, sanitizing, and properly storing all kitchenware, all trash removal, packaging of meals and supporting the cooks with food preparation and kitchen organization if needed.

Metro Meals on Wheels partners with its 32 neighborhood member programs for the delivery of Meals on Wheels throughout the Twin Cities. The following employment and board of directors opportunities are available at our neighborhood programs:

Board Member – Eastside Meals on Wheels

Eastside Meals on Wheels is looking for a new board members. This program serves the areas of St. Anthony Village and Northeast and Southeast Minneapolis. Those interested in this position should contact Eileen at [email protected].

Board Member – Northwest Suburban Dinner At Your Door

Northwest Suburban Dinner At Your Door is looking for new board members. There is especially a need for someone that could recruit new drivers and help coordinate the current list of volunteer drivers. Meetings are once a month, 12:30-2:30pm on the 3rd Thursday. Board Treasurer – Wayzata-Plymouth Meals on Wheels

Wayzata-Plymouth Meals on Wheels is looking for a new Board Treasurer. A background in finance is suggested for this position. Those interested should contact Jo Rimmereid at [email protected].

Board Member – Northwest Dakota County Meals on Wheels

Northwest Dakota County Meals on Wheels is looking for new board members. This program serves the areas of Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eagan, and Savage.
