For the first time ever Bacio will be showcasing their fresh food at Meals on Heels, and boy are we excited! Bacio prides itself not only in their dedication to serving amazing food, but also their impeccable hospitality. An authentic and unique experience can be expected the next time you stop by Bacio in Minnetonka. Another thing you can expect from Bacio is locally sourced foods along with original recipes made from scratch. Their food inspirations range from Italy, to the Mediterranean, to Asia. With such a wide variety of influences they have us wondering which items will be served up at Meals on Heels this year!
For the third year in a row French Meadow Bakery & Cafe will be bringing their organic Farm-to-Table methods to Meals on Heels! For over 30 years French Meadow has been providing the Twin Cities with delicious local food. They have relationships with over a dozen local farms which provide them with organically grown vegetables, herbs, meats, flours, eggs, and dairy products. The mouth-watering picture below is what they whipped up for Meals on Heels last year: Stonebridge Farm braised beef with roasted garlic mashed potatoes and horseradish crema. We are very much anticipating what delicious and unique food they will bring to Meals on Heels this year!
Gandhi Mahal Restaurant will be bringing their full-spice Bangladeshi/Indian food to Meals on Heels! Not only does Gandhi Mahal make some of the best Indian food in the Twin Cities, their business is truly one to be admired. They take sustainability to a whole new level through their aquaponics system, local and urban farming initiative, and zero waste efforts. With the principles of Mohandas Gandhi as their guide, they hope to bring together a community of different beliefs and create a peaceful gathering space. If you can’t wait until August to try out Gandhi Mahal their all-you-can-eat lunch buffet is a great lunch option that is offered every day from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with dishes being changed daily.
For the first time ever Just/Us Restaurant will be bringing their unique restaurant model to Meals on Heels and we couldn’t be more pleased to have them be joining us! If you haven’t heard about Just/Us and how they are reinventing the restaurant game, then listen up. Just/Us is more than your typical restaurant. It is a collaborative effort by chefs who want to reinvigorate the restaurant industry and shift the fine-dining culture. Their menu is constantly changing depending on availability of ingredients and the aspirations of the chefs, as well as the fact that they are frequently inviting local chefs to share their space with them. Each time you decide to dine at Just/Us you are sure to have a brand new experience. For the month of July their menu is inspired by street food from around the world. Is it Just Us, or are you also excited to find out what one-of-a-kind dish they will decide to serve at Meals on Heels?
