Meals on Heels 2018 is just a few short weeks away! As the event date inches closer we wanted to share with you some info about all of the local restaurants that you will have the opportunity to sample at Meals on Heels.

Nothing Bundt Cakes

Nothing Bundt Cakes has been the staple desert option at Meals on Heels the past two years, and we are ecstatic that they will be bringing their mouth-watering cakes to Meals on Heels once again! They are known for their signature bundt cakes which are made to perfection with real, fresh ingredients. The Bundtinis pictured below have been served in the past at Meals on Heels, and every year we are amazed by how much flavor and sweetness can be fit into one little bit-sized cake.

Pizza Lucé

The Minnesota (and Meals on Heels) favorite, Pizza Lucé, will be serving up delicious one-of-a-kind pizza at Meals on Heels again this year. One of the things that makes Pizza Lucé so great is the variety that they offer. Did you know they have a to-die-for weekend brunch? On Saturdays and Sundays from 8am – 2pm you can choose from benedicts, burritos, omelettes, and more. Pizza Lucé offers dishes that every person in your party will be dying to try. With vegan and vegetarian options, as well as a gluten-free version of their menu, there is something for everyone! This is the 7th year that Pizza Lucé has supported Meals on Wheels by serving up their delectable pizza at Meals on Heels, and we’re so excited they’re joining us once again.

St. Paul Grill

We’re so happy to announce that the award-winning The St. Paul Grill will be joining us at Meals on Heels this year! Located in the classic and luxurious St. Paul Hotel, the St. Paul Grill features a menu full of classic American food along with extensive choices of rare scotches, whiskeys and cognacs. They have been with us since the very first Meals on Heels event 10 years ago. Every year we look forward to what delicious creation they will decide to provide for Meals on Heels goers. We can’t wait to see what they will whip up this year for Meals on Heels!

Kitchen of Opportunities

The Kitchen of Opportunities is a kitchen dedicated solely to serving Meals on Wheels recipients in the Twin Cities area. Since its opening over a year ago the kitchen has continuously grown. Prior to the opening of the Kitchen of Opportunities all 32 individual Meals on Wheels programs in the Metro area had gotten their food from outside catering companies. Through this project Meals on Wheels is able to reduce costs and provide healthier, more customizable menu options. One of the coolest things about the Kitchen of Opportunities being a part of Meals on Heels is that attendees can try for themselves the same food served to Meals on Wheels recipients. So even though you’ll have your swankiest shoes on, you’ll still be able to step into another person’s shoes and see what delicious food a Meals on Wheels client receives!

While the food is always a high point of the event, truly the best part is that 100% of the proceeds will go to Meals on Wheels so that we can continue to serve our senior neighbors. We look forward to an unforgettable evening filled with exquisite food and drinks, entertainment, a raffle, and best of all: a night of coming together to support Meals on Wheels!
